Example is more forcible than precept. People look at me six days a week to see what I mean on the seventh. -Cecil
1Timothy 4:12 Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Christians have a duty to lead by example. We must therefore be careful how we: carry ourselves, whom we associate with, where and what we spend our time doing, what we speak, how we live, how we lead, how we love, and what we have faith in. Christians are always examples; you can never tell if the person you saw in the grocery store will walk in your church on Sunday.
It is one thing to show a man that he is in an error, and another to put him in possession of truth. -Locke
Proverbs 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
How do determine the value of friends? Obviously those who fail to candidly tell you about myself (out of love) should have little value or, impact in your life. Friendship is not based upon someone always agreeing with you, but rather one willing to risk losing the friendship by giving you advice that could keep you from going over the ledge.

2Corinthians 4:8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair;9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; 10 Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body. 11 For we which live are alway delivered unto death for Jesus’ sake, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our mortal flesh.
Every second of the day, God’s purpose is to draw out of you what He has decreed is a part of you. He permissively allows us to endure trials because they draw His greatness out of us. The question(s) should be: (the next time you face trouble) What do You want me to learn? Who do You want to see me in this trouble? How can I give You the glory? How will this trouble lead me closer the Your purpose and plans for me?
No one is useless in this world that lightens the burden of it for any one else. -Dickens
Jeremiah 1:6 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child. 7 But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak. 8 Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. 9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth. 10 See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant

“If where we are now and whatever we are going through does not motivate us to leave this world better than the way we met it, we are in this world for wrong reasons.” ― Bamigboye Olurotimi
