Ministry Mission:

To model the example of servanthood set by Jesus Christ while being doorkeepers to the sanctuary.

 

Ministry Vision:

To ensure anyone attending worship or other programs at FSMBC feel comfortable and welcomed into the house of the Lord.  Ushers are trained to follow established protocol to ensure services are orderly and with few distractions.

 

Ministry Scripture Reference:

“For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.” – Psalm 84:10

 

Ministry Description/Purpose:

The Ushers Ministry helps welcomes guests’ and members to the church and can assist people in finding seating and answering basic questions. Members of this ministry also help direct the flow worship during our times of giving. This ministry is also charged with providing direction as necessary, including helping to limit walking during worship especially at the times of the reading of scripture and prayer.
