HOW SHOULD I DRESS FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES?

Dress according to your own tastes and means—from jeans and t-shirts to suits and dresses. We do ask that everything be decent and in order for the House of God.  Our hope is that you dress comfortably so that you are open and receptive to all of the blessings that God has released for you at First Salem Baptist Church also known as FSMBC.

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE FOR SUNDAY SERVICES?

First Salem Missionary Baptist Church offers Sunday worship at 10:00am. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before service starts so that you can be seated.  Nursery services are available for infants up to 4 years of age.

WHAT WILL I SEE AND DO WHEN I GET TO CHURCH?

When you arrive for Sunday services, you can park your car in the parking area around the building or in the satellite lot across the street, but the earlier you arrive, the closer you can park to the actual facility.

You will be met at the front door by our faithful Greeters, who will welcome you with a smile and God’s “Great Love”. The Greeters can also answer any questions you might have about First Salem Baptist Church. You can get additional information at the Welcome Desk or in designated areas where flyers and announcements are located.

You will enter the sanctuary through one of several doors, each of which is tended by an Usher. Once inside, you may sit wherever you like. If you need assistance finding a seat or have any special seating needs, please ask an Usher for help. He or she will be happy to assist you.

Once you are seated, you will be able to hear and see our morning announcements via our TV monitors in the sanctuary to learn more about the order of service and upcoming events at the church.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING WORSHIP SERVICES?

Our services typically begin with an invocation and praise music selections from choir or praise team.  The collection of tithes and other offerings precedes the sermon. Services conclude with the invitation to worship and the Benediction—and, of course, plenty of music, dance, and songs of praise.

The ordinance of Baptism takes the 1st Sunday of every month at 9:30am of every month, unless a need arises to adjust.  The ordinance Holy Communion is conducted on 1st Sunday during our morning Worship Experience.

HOW AND WHEN ARE GUEST RECOGNIZED?

We believe in using the total worship experience as a way to welcome and invite our guest to worship with us.

If you have been searching, believing, and praying for a place to belong, we say:
“Welcome to First Salem Missionary Baptist Church, where God is King, Jesus Christ is Lord, and the power of the Holy Ghost is in Control.
